Neverseen issues with wireless mice and windows 11. | Razer Insider

Running applications on windows causes my mice to freeze/disconnect. Most of the times it gets reconnected, but sometimes it doesn’t, then i have to switch the connection mode, detach and reattach the 2.4gzh dongle to fix it, but sometimes what happens is that the mice causes everything except the headset to disconnect, and there’s nothing to do except system restart(IN that case the mice doesn't work, the keyboard lights turn off and there’s no response whatsoever, unplug & re-plug doesn’t help).

I have both the mice and keyboard from razer, also the headset, the headset has no issues(except sometimes it disconnects for a split of second, but considering that i have 2.4gzh internet i assume it’s some interference).

If i run a notepad, my mice will freeze, if i open a new explorer window, my mice sometimes will freeze, if i drag and drop a short movie to windows media player classic, almost always my mice will freeze and there’s nothing to do except disconnect it and reconnect, the issue happens 80-90% of the times. This happens only in wireless mode.

IF i disconnect my headset, disconnect from the internet, NOTHING changes, it’s not an interference problem when it comes to mice, same problems occur, and same things happen with my gladious III mice in wireless mode, but not as often. Same thing would happen rarely with my mionix naos, this is the only wired mice that has this issue, and it happens only when their software is running in the background. IF i turn off all processes related to synapse etc, the issue will persist as it does when synapse is running in the background.

I tried to find some info, but there’s nothing, no one knows anything. MY system is win 11 pro N, but it has the media update installed (or whatever it was called), so basically it works as a win 11 pro.

Some additional info:

-Changing the usb port doesn’t help

-Firmware update for the deathadder v2 pro doesn’t do ANYTHING whatsoever.

-I have most of the power saving disabled, turn off display is disabled, put the pc to sleep as well, USB selective suspension is disabled as well in the advanced settings, i tried both modes and the problems are the same in both.

-Gpu is gtx 970, ryzen AMD ryzen 5 5500 3.60 GHz, 32gb ram 3200mhz, the motherboard is asus hero V.

-My internet is set to 20mhz(rather than 20 or 40 on auto mode, since this causes wireless interference with mice, basically it’s as bad that i have no internet if i set it to auto, but setting it to 20mhz only works good.

-I tried around 6+ units of mice(deathadder v2 pro), ALL have the same issue, all from razer, but 1 was from asus, and it had lags and freezes, but not as bad.

-I am unable to get another system at the moment, so the only system i was able to test was win 11 pro n.

Now good luck to fix this issue, i hope someone knows something, i for sure blame windows, the sh* they did with the system is sick, but there’s nothing to do, i first ask here since they barely know a thing when i have some problems, also it’s still unknown what’s going on, why running programs causes the mice to turn off, lag or freez for a moment.

I forgot to mention that i am attaching the 2.4ghz dongle to the charging dock, the version of deathadder i have is v2 pro with charging dock included. Changing the charging dongle to another unit doesn’t solve anything. When the mouse gets disconnected, when it reconnects it opens driver H for some reason, which is my pendrive. If the issue isn’t clear enough, i can record exactly what’s going on.

And it works via wire without issue?

There can be some interference at your area caused by other routers / 2.4GHz devices / microwaves. How many WiFi networks are nearby in your area? Also power outlets near wireless dongle / electrical cables can cause signal loss etc.

Try changing router settings - set WiFi to a different channel, rather than changing channel width from 20MHz to 40MHz.

Also I’d try BIOS update, and download the newest chipset drivers from AMD.

You didn’t read carefully, i explained that this happens only when opening a window, running a movie etc. It can’t be related to wireless interference when same thing happens, with no internet, no headsets, no other device which is wireless. There are no other routers detectable in my area, and if there are, it’s for a moment and the signal is extremely weak(Again, the headset works fine, if it was the cause then the other devices wouldn’t work as they all use 2.4ghz). The wireless receiver is 10cm away from the mice, 6 units tested, it’s impossible that it has to do something with signal. With wired, there’s no issue, it uses the same USB as the dongle, since i just swap the cable.

BIOS update, chipset update as mentioned in previous post. You can also try other GPU drivers (before you do this, uninstall old ones with DDU - display driver uninstaller).

Clean synapse reinstall (if you haven’t tried it yet):

  1. Uninstall Synapse
  2. Download & run this tool: https://rzr.to/Tf53xj to remove any razer drivers/leftovers
  3. Then restart your PC
  4. After reboot install Synapse again (as administrator).

If it not help - then clean os install (NOT REINSTALL!).

I tested with gladious III, i didn’t use it for a long time, nope, it was my mistake, there are no problems with that mice, opening windows, running notepad or movies doesn’t cause any lag, or at least this time it worked, but with razer it’s now not even 80-90%, it’s 100% that the will be a problem, only in wireless mode, opening explorer, movies, notepad etc causes disconnection or freeze.

I found the issue faster then i would think…. It’s the god damn wireless charging dongle! There’s a usb plug for the wireless receiver. If i plug the 2.4ghz receiver directly to the usb, it works with no problems… Kinda sucks doesn’t it, i really liked it. But i tested another dongle since i have 2 copies of this mice, same thing, i will try clean and reinstall synapse.
