New Basilisk Ultimate works wireless, doesn't work with USB cable | Razer Insider

Just got my BU today. I immediately plug in the dock and the dongle to the dock, mouse and dock are recognized and everything works fine.

Decided to look into trying to make sure the mouse was up-to-date on firmware, only info I saw was to download the latest update and run that, so I did. Went through a few screens, had one screen say I was up to date, but I think it was talking about the dock. Get to the next screen, and it says to connect the mouse to the PC via USB, so I unplug it from the dock and plug the cable into the mouse...

Nothing happens, no USB device sound, no mouse pointer. Plugged cable back into dock, get the new USB device sound and the mouse pointer moves. Repeated a few times, same thing.

Is there something I'm missing, or does sound like a mouse HW issue?
Be sure, that cable is fully plugged into the mouse, and the cable is plugged directly into USB 3.0 port (or newer) and not via USB hub.

If the cable properly plugged in - it might be some problem with micro-USB port in Basilisk Ultimate. Optionally you can check it on other PC.
Ah, good suggestions. Was using a hub, switched to computer, same thing. Just about gave up and decided to check it in again, got it working. I think I wasn't pushing it in far enough. It clicks when it goes it, so I thought it was connected, but looking at it I could see a bit of the silver plug, so I pushed harder and that was the issue, cuz it went in more.

Now fingers crossed Synapse doesn't stop seeing the mouse, like it did late last night. 🙂 But at least the HW seems to be ok, thanks.
