New Basilisk V4 Pro + V2 dock issues

I got the newly released V4 Pro with the V2 dock a couple days ago.

First of all the battery doesn’t last a single day (1000hz @ 40% RGB brightness). I got to work today with a full battery, and while using the standard USB 2.4ghz dongle 8 hours later the battery is already on 5%. My Viper Ultimate from 5 years ago still lasts longer than this today…

At home the V2 dock/charging is sluggish, with lighting profiles getting bugged out when placing on/off the dock. There’s a 10-15 second delay when docking the mouse before it begins charging, and when my PC is off the mouse on the dock doesn’t charge (again my old Viper + Dock always charged immediately and when my PC was shutdown)

Surely these are just software bugs right? Either way it’s a pretty poor show for a brand-new mouse from a company as well established as Razer. I like the mouse, but this stuff is just unacceptable.

I also have the Basilisk V4 Pro + V2 dock and I think it’s a software issue, because I had mine charging all night. Started up my PC and got a message about the mouse battery almost being depleted. Took out the battery coin and reseated it and then all of a sudden I’m at 100% charge. This isn’t the first time it has done this either.

i have a dock pro v1 so its prob not a dock problem but a mouse problem (firmware) or even synapse. my basilisk v4 pro has also exhibited weird battery reporting.   it will drop 20-40% overnight while the computer is off for no reason, but i dont think its actually draining because if i put it back on the dock or simply plug it in, it shoots back up and there is no way it charges  nearly 80% in about 3 seconds. the bad part is, if it does get to 1% and then “die” it will stop working until i put it on the dock for a few seconds for my “magic 80% charge” and im good for a while again.  very frustrating.

additionally, if i use my dock pro v1 to charge it and put my pc to sleep it will instantly wake back up. this doesnt happen with the prior 2 versions of the basilisk or naga v2 and  also brand new v3. so when it really does need a charge, i have to plug it in via cable and not the dock or my pc wont sleep. scroll wheel is also unbalanced and in free spin mode will move on its own after i take my finger off.

super tempted to return this and stick with my old basilisk and the naga v3 pro. never had a mouse this buggy before.

This is definitely not a synapse issue, it’s a firmware / hardware issue.  I developed some software on linux for it and I can’t get my battery to last a whole day even at nearly the lowest polling rate.  They need to address this.
