New laptop won't turn on. No indicator light.

I literally just got this thing today. I opened it up, plugged it in, and let it sit for about an hour. I looked, and there is a green light on the charger itself, but the indicator light is still off on the laptop while plugged in. It also won't turn on. :( I can't contact support because it keeps hanging up on me, and the chat is unavailable. Do I need a new laptop? Or am I stupid and just not doing it right? Thanks
