Ever since I downloaded the latest firmware update for my Razer app, my new Razer Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic Tenkeyless 8K HZ keyboard that I bought a week ago has been unresponsive every 1-2 hours. No keys work. I tried pressing Esc + Caps + Space while unplugging and replugging it. Still didn’t fix. As other users have said already, the only way to fix this is by unplugging and replugging the keyboard.
Yes, I have seen other people post about this same problem. The response they got was “to fully close/disable Synapse and see if the problem persists.” These responses by the staff feel automated because they all say the same thing. And yes, I have fully closed/disabled Synapse, but then I reopened it. If the intent was for me to close/disable the app without reopening it, then I didn’t do that. But if I were to fully disable the app while using the keyboard, would the features of the keyboard such as lighting, actuation point, rapid trigger, snap tap, macros, etc. not be disabled? What’s the point of even having all those features just to not use them?
Actually, before this firmware update, I also experienced my keyboard randomly pressing the F5 and Esc keys randomly. After I downloaded the firmware update, that problem was fixed, and REPLACED with this problem where it disables the keyboard which is just as bad. It doesn’t help that the problem with the keyboard randomly pressing Esc and F5 was a thing 3 months ago as well. I also had the latest firmware before the 9/12/2026 firmware updated rolled out, so there really shouldn’t be any reason why a problem from 3 months ago is reappearing like this.
For my first Razor product ever, I have to say-- I’m a bit disappointed and annoyed. Definitely not a good first impression at all.
