Nommo Chroma doesn't stay on/detected

I've restarted; re-installed Synapse; unplugged/replugged the device. Pattern seems to be: restart PC. The device is detected for a few seconds, and apparently working, but stops playing after a couple of seconds and goes dark. I push the knob to turn it back on, and same again, comes on a for a few. After some iterations of this, it stops turning on at all. Suggestions?
