Nommo Pro V2 Control Pod Pairing issues

boblongshot

Hi,
I have recently had connectivity issues with the Nommo V2 Pro control pod. When I insert batteries, the LED flashes blue and white 4 times then goes dark. I can get it to go into BT pairing mode and directly connect to my PC but pairing this way negates all functions of the control pod meaning buttons and the dial have no effect, plus the sub woofer does not activate and neither do the speaker back lights. Also, I am unable to see the Nommo V2 Pro in Synapse.
There is no physical damage, I am not interested in RMA or refund. I just want to be able to conduct a “factory reset” of the control pod so I can trigger the magenta LED and follow the instructions below:
"The status indicator will blink magenta to indicate the control pod is in Command mode and ready for pairing. Reattach and rotate the bottom cover to lock it in place. To pair it to your PC and remap it with Razer Synapse, activate Bluetooth on your PC and wait for the control pod to appear on the list of devices. Make sure the control pod is within a meter of the PC."
I have tried uninstalling Synapse completely and removed all traces of the speakers from the OS (Win 11), power cycled speakers and PC for over 5 minutes, tried alternative USB cables and USB ports from different USB controllers.  Speakers, sub, and control pod all have the latest firmware and Synapse is up to date.

My efforts have amounted to naught so far. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Rob

I had this issue, the only thing that fixed it was a new control pod unfortunately. I went back and forth with Razer support on reddit and tried a ton of stuff, and they ultimately said that my control pod was likely defective. I’ve had the speakers since they first came out and honestly I dont know that my control pod ever had a magenta light. The new one does though and i was able to get it to sync, but i still havent been able to use it to get the speakers to turn on. I have to unplug them and then plug them in again for them to turn on at which point the controller connects for volume control etc.

dang, I am having the same issue. After an RMA for not working woofer the new system had been working for 8 days. Now I have a blue - white flashing pod and I can’t get my speakers to work.

Synapse doesn’t see the speakers. Perhaps it now the speakers?

I got mine to work fully after an update with the new control pod. Check your speaker by unplugging the power connection on the back of the right speaker, then see if you can switch to them on your PC. If that works I bet it's your control pod. It seems to control everything, my sub wouldn't work until I got a new one.

@Crasje I have managed to get them fully operational, but I had to unplug them last week to move them and the problem has returned.  This is the 4th recurrence of this particular issue for me. It eventually works if the stars align, and you somehow complete the inscrutable magic sequence of events that gets them to work.

New firmware would be nice.

Hi,

I did some testing and was allowed to send my system in as RMA. The new system worked from the start well for a week.

2 days ago suddenly using the pod it would alternate blue - white and not go to green and of course no sound. I unplugged power, USB, etc nothing worked. So I made a support ticket.

About 30 minutes later while using my headset for sound, suddenly I hear music coming from my speakers, they were working again out of the blue.

This is a pairing program from Razer, I found that when i was trying to get my subwoofer to work. Next time you might want to try that.

What bothers me is that the wireless speaker is all fancy technology and if that has an issue, ok, we are early adaptors, but 2 speakers being connected via USB to a PC no longer being visible or working, christ, that technology has been actively used for a decade…… it really really made me doubt my choice.

Today I unplugged A/C for speakers and sub and removed batteries from pod, waited 30 seconds, reconnected the power back in for speakers 1st, then sub, then re-installed batteries in pod and it was all detected!

Alas! in the process of faffing about trying to get the pod battery cover back on I now have an issue where my speakers flash red every few seconds, appear to be fully functional according to windows and synapse but are completely inaudible. I did check all sound sources and app volume control etc. I’ll try again tomorrow.

Yes, opening the POD for the batteries is like had a child lock. Whoever designed that must not use it.

On his defence, it is not meant to be opened to reset so frequently of course.

Do you still have your warranty? Your sound system seem really unstable in it’s functioning. I was in a chat with a guy tried 3-4 things and he immediately went to an RMA process. Faster than you would normally expect. On the negative side, that can be of course because this product has it’s issues….. 😔
