Not able to add new profile in razer synapse 3

I am working off of a Razer Blade 15 mid 2019 Base. I am not able to create a new profile for the RGB customization of my keyboard. There is a loading symbol next to the three drop down dots on the home screen that never seems to stop spinning. Whenever I try to add a new profile, I click the "add" button, and the drop down menu closes and nothing happens. ??? someone please help.
