Hi,

As the title says, using the Tensorbook laptop for my day to day use. I work heavy in tech and AI and I code a decent amount of and am planning to run much more heavy things in the future. But in terms of day to day use I’m disappointed.

My battery life is terrible (1 hour). AND it lags like crazy when not plugged in, and even a little when plugged in. This is all shocking considering the 64 GB RAM and RTX 3080 I have, and the fact that this is marketed as a $3000 extremely powerful ML laptop.

I had multiple angry conversations with Lambda support. I finally got a useful insight:
There is a good possibility that the machine and battery life will behave differently in a non-Windows environment. I see that the machine was shipped dual-booting with Ubuntu, you could see if it runs better there. As Quinn noted in the last ticket, your battery's current full charge capacity listed exceeds 95% of the original design capacity, so it doesn't sound to be an issue with the hardware itself. It's also possible that it will function exactly the same, but it would be worth testing in Ubuntu under your normal workload to see if you notice any difference.

Implying that the battery probably is not suited well for Windows. But I really would prefer to stick to windows especially due to the way I’ve set up my workflows. So I would greatly appreciate advice as to how to fix these issues!

Thanks.
