Ornata Lag without Synapse

Trying to use my Ornata Chroma keyboard on my work laptop. I don't have rights to install Synapse. Works fine on my home PC. Connect through a Dell Docking station. Again works fine on PC with Synapse installed. Unusable without. Key presses are laggy, sometimes don't register, and other times act like the key is held downnnnnnnnn. Any suggestions?

    Without the Synapse application, the keyboard should work fine with its default functions. If you're experiencing input and connection issues, try to connect the keyboard to a different USB port, better if 3.0 USB or reinstall its driver.
