The eGPU works well for rendering (Redshift), but my playback is very slow within the viewport in Cinema 4D (c4d) - even on an empty scene file. As soon as I disconnect the eGPU the playback returns to normal speeds.
This does not happen on my laptop with the GPU connected, only my desktop.
I am using C4D R21 which is a few years old and nVidia Drivers 5.28.49 (but have tried a few). Both GPUs are 3090s.
Can anyone help suggest things to test/change?
