Please fix the Razer cooling pad.

same, something got broken… CPU and GPU details just got stuck at initialization, forever spinning

Same problems here with cooler and Blade 14.

The cooler was working fine ever since launch. Then one day last week it just randomly stopped working. The fan wouldn’t spin and the LEDs just flashed red. Ended up having to update the firmware to get it working again.

So I updated the firmware, and while the fan is working again, the GPU/CPU monitoring hasn’t worked since, which means smart fan doesn’t work either.

I wonder if it’s under work with for the move from Synapse 3 to Synapse 4? I wanted to know if this issue is persistent since I just preordered the 18 inch Blade upgrading from the 15 Advanced. Hoping they fix this since I wanted it to help cool off the 18 (or if I end up going the 16 route for the extended battery life w/ the AMD CPU and OLED screen to get that extra 1 ½ hour) upon release. I’d say post about it on Reddit since the more publicity this issue gets there, the more chance it has of getting fixed for all of us who bought it.

Mine stopped working after firmware update. Immediately after turnning on starts flashing red and synapse software says its powered off. Tried uninstalling all Razer software, tried updating laptop firmware same thing. it doesn’t work. Just acts as a laptop stand now. 

Why isn’t Razer addressing this obvious problem.. Starting to think they have no clue what they are doing!

Same issue here - Balde16 5090 full loaded.

Connect cooler via power and dedicated usb directly into the laptop.

Turns on then goes into flashing red mode and synapse says its turned off :(

Same issue. Had the cooling pad for less than one day. It worked initially then stopped working after firmware update. Fully uninstalled and re-installed all Razer software, but didn’t fix it.

Same, keeps happening every once in a while. Requires full clean reinstall of Synapse (need to also manually delete all Razer folders before reinstalling). Honestly kinda expected more quality from Razer - that at least they’ll fix it sometime, but the stuck on “initializing” still keeps happening….

Upd. - fixed by using the firmware updater https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/14879 without reinstalling Synapse

Upd. - it’s happening again… the firmware is up to date… please fix it...

my razer cooling pad suddenly doesn’t work and it’s just blinking red. tried reinstalling synapse and my firmware is updated but still not working. showing in synapse device is switch off. idk what to do now.

Has anyone been able to fix this? Mine just started doing it today. Is the best option to try and return it and get something else?

Same issue noted as above I bought mine from Bestbuy it arrived today, red light flashing, will not turn on so I am going to be going ahead and return it to the store tomorrow. 

Same here, just bought one and its flashing red. No troubleshooting has been able to resolve it and the updater says it’s running the latest firmware.

This is the answer! Did this soon after the update came out no problems since!

I am still having this issue. I have reinstalled Synapse 4 multiple times. Reset the pad itself and nothing works. All I get is the flashing red light over and over and Synapse saying it isn’t powered on. Pad has the latest firmware as well. Man what a waste of money…...

I have found a FIX, first unplug the cooling pad both USB and Power Adapter, and then plug the adapter leave the USB unplugged for now then manually turn on the fan VIA Fan Button when it starts plug the USB back in it should detect it now, i also Re-Setted the profile of the Fan not sure if its was necessary but i want to clear all possibility of error.
