Problem: Mouse Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini disconnects only in Valorant and Fortnite

I'm experiencing a very specific issue with my Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini: it works perfectly in Windows and other games, but only in Valorant and Fortnite it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting repeatedly. I've tried literally everything but the problem persists.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken (No Success):

  • Clean Windows installation

  • Default Windows drivers (without Synapse) and updated Synapse

  • Manual driver reinstallation

  • Disabled mouse acceleration (both in Windows and in-game)

  • Tried all USB ports (2.0, 3.0, no hubs)

  • Updated mouse firmware

  • Reinstalled Valorant and Fortnite (verified files)

  • Tested mouse on another PC (same issue)

Support Contacted:

  • Valorant and Fortnite support redirected me to Razer, but no solution yet

Key Details:

  • Only happens in these two games (works fine in other games/apps)

  • Not a general hardware issue (same problem occurs on different PCs)

Has anyone else experienced this?
Are there any official fixes or pending patches?

I'd really appreciate any advice or shared experiences from the community.

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

maxihi.

So I was having this same problem. After a bunch of digging around, I found that it only does this if the mouse is in “Low Power Mode.” So if my mouse was 20% or below, it simply just wouldn’t work in Valorant. If I charged my mouse, and restarted my PC, the problem would go away. Currently, in Synapse, I don’t see a way to disable low power mode. (Maybe I’m blind) But I have found that you can set the threshold for low power mode as low as 5%. SSo my only recommendation would be to change your settings, keep your mouse charged, and if you’re having problems, plug in and restart. This may not solve your problem, but it solved mine.

What are you talking about? What low power mode? DA V2 Mini is a wired mouse.
