Problem with Razer Kraken Kitty Quartz Edition USB - Not Connecting to Synapse and Laptop | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
Hi everyone,

I recently bought the Razer Kraken Kitty Quartz Edition about a week ago, and it worked just fine until today. My computer and Razer Synapse suddenly stopped detecting the Kraken Kitty headphones, even though it's plugged into my laptop through the USB. I tried unplugging it out and plugging it back in and switching which USB port I plug them into, but my laptop nor Synapse is unable to detect it anymore. I followed the instructions of doing a clean re-install of Synapse and I updated my drivers on my laptop. I also deleted the drivers of the Razer Kraken Kitty in Device Manager after following the steps on Razer support, but the headphones still aren't being detected nor are they not lighting up anymore when I connect them through the USB.

I know it's not my laptop's USB problem because my wired mouse that's connected through USB still works just fine. And I know that it's not the USB of the Razer Kraken's fault because the cosplay mode still works and the ears light up when you hold down the THX Spatial Audio Button and plug it right back into my laptop. When I unplug the headphones again, deactivating cosplay mode, and then plug it back into my laptop, that's when it chooses not to light up and not be recognized by my laptop and Razer Synapse.

I'm just confused as to why the headphones aren't being recognized by my laptop nor Razer Synapse when it was working just fine earlier today. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'll update y'all if anything new happens.

Did you just update the Synapse app or your Windows OS? Try to reboot your laptop to make sure updates are fully installed. If the same issue persists, proceed by performing a clean installation of the Synapse app by following the steps here. Let me through PM if that didn't help so I can start a case and raise your concern with the software team for further diagnosis. Thanks!
