Profile transfer failed to my Razer Huntsman V2 keyboard

hoongtee1994

Not able to save profile on Razer Huntsman V2 keyboard. When I drag profile to onboard memory slot. It always bump out message saying "Your profile did not transfer successfully to your device's on-board memory slot." This happen recently to my Huntsman V2. No issue on my Razer basilisk v3 mouse.

Need some help here. Try to reinstall sypnase3 several times but yet still the same…

Facing issue where my  \| button will always messed up everytime i relogin after pc shutdown. When type using \| button it always output 2@. Not sure is because of the profile issue above or not.

I'm having the exact same issue with my razer huntsman v2 to maybe it is a software issue and I only got the keyboard yesterday so I doubt that it is a hardware issue.

I can confirm that I saw the same thing and had this keyboard for about a year both on the new beta and the current synapse.

Same issue. White profile is none existent. On the product page, it’s states the huntsman should have 5 profiles, but it only has 4 now. It must have had all 5 before, because the white profile was there and saved my default configuration on setup.

The best solution I found was to use OpenRGB instead.

I have a Huntsman v2 Optical and here are the steps I used to make it switch to a "Quick Effects" profile between reboots/shutdowns and then back to "Chroma" when back in Windows:

In OpenRGB under Devices tab select your keyboard and create 2 profiles:

First profile:
Set "Mode: Direct" go ahead and customize exactly how you would in Chroma Studio. i.e. individual keys can be different colors (similar to Advanced Effects profile in Synapse). Save Profile as "Advanced".
Notes:
  - https://www.colorhexa.com or similar will help to really dial in colors.
  - My media keys had slightly different saturation to other keys.

Second profile:
Set "Mode: Static/Spectrum Cycle/Breathing/Wave" this is similar to Quick Effects in Synapse. You can only choose one color or spectrum cycle. Save Profile as "Basic"

Lastly under the Settings tab configure:
  - Load Profile: Advanced
  - Set Profile on Suspend: Advanced
  - Set Profile on Resume: Advanced
  - Set Profile on Exit: Basic

The Basic profile will be saved to the keyboard but beware, if Synapse is run it will set it back to the default which is Spectrum Cycle.
Now your Basic profile will appear in between reboots.
