Both my dongles are fried, I think from the heat of my case, replacements have been out of stock for some time now, will they ever be replaced? Need to update the firmware… is there a way without the dongle? Any help appreciated.

ProType & Viper Ultimate dongles both Unresponsive
+1For the Pro Type - I’d contact Razer Support directly - maybe they’ll have replacement dongle.
Yes, you can use both via cable, Pro Type has Bluetooth built-in so you can use it via BT.
