Raker Kraken Tournament Issue

Hi, for some reason overnight my Kraken headset has been behaving strangely. It seems to be some issue with the USB controller as I can plug the headset into the audio jack direct and its fine. However through USB it seems the channels are all scrambled. Youtube videos have really loud audio with a crackle and hiss while the speech part of the video is super quiet. At the same time the mic stopped working completely and in tests it seems to be registering the same input as the output to the headset. I've reinstalled and uninstalled everything. Plugged in and out and flushed the drivers. Reset Realtek HD drivers the works.... Cannot work it out. Anyone got any advice at all or is it likely a hardware issue? Thanks in advance.

    Were there any changes made to your system before the issue? For now, try to isolate the problem by following the steps on this page. PM me the serial number of your headset if the problem remains apparent. I can use it to verify its model and look for other possible solutions. *Thread locked to curb the conversation to PMs.
