Random freezing on brand new RZ09-0421 | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
Hello all,

Long story short, I received a replacement unit from Razer after my previous unit was returned because of a swollen battery and flawed GPU, less than 16 months after usage.

Less than 24 hours after I receive the replacement unit, I experience random screen freezing. When this occurs, the only thing that can be done is rebooting the device.

After numerous back and forth with technical support trying to fix the issue, which included resetting the laptop to it's factory default settings, the issue was still present, and thus the unit was sent back for repair.

Repair team tested the unit and they said no fault was found. After requesting more information on the exact tests that were performed, I was told that a 24 hour burn test was made, yet the test report that was sent to me clearly shows that the burn test ran for just 35 minutes.

They sent back the unit to me without my approval, and sure enough, I experienced the same problem again, after installing just a few basic software. I did not run windows update and did not install new drivers, so it's basically a fresh Windows 11 home installation.

Anyone else having the same experience with random freezing or having such a bad experience with Razer in general?

Any support from the community would be appreciated.

That's inconvenient. Can you send me the case number via PM so I can tap our Support Team and higher-ups? I appreciate your cooperation. I'll be locking this thread so I can divert our conversation privately. Thanks for your cooperation.
