Raptor 27 - 1440P 165 Hz Reliability | Razer Insider

Hello,

Long time Razer advocate here.  I recently purchased three of the Raptor 27  - 1440P 165 Hz monitors at half-price, which I thought was a great deal.  All three arrived ahead of schedule and setup as expected.  Almost immediately after configuring the monitors using two DisplayPort and one HDMI (the DisplayPort cable was too short and couldn’t reach my PC) I noticed one of the monitors would randomly appear to go to sleep.  Turning it off and on was the only way to wake it.  I tried swapping cables and even plugged it into another device, with no changes.  Then after a couple hours of use, it went to sleep and never woke up.  I rebooted, swapped cables, plugged in to another device and swapped the power connecter, but no luck.  I then started a return request.  BTW, when it went to sleep, the RGB lighting remained on.

I’ve never had to return a Razer product before and found the process quite confusing.  I could find no reference for how to get an RMA number.  I want the item replaced but there was no way to explain this in the ticket.  As I purchased three at half-price, I didn't want to have to buy a new one at full price.  All of this happened on a Saturday, and I decided to wait until Monday to contact support.

Over the weekend, I reconfigured my environment to work with the remaining two monitors.  On Sunday, one of the monitors began displaying about 40 vertical black lines along the top of the monitor - starting about seven inches from the top right corner and going down about five inches.  Again, I tried swapping cables, rebooting, connecting to another device.  No changes, the vertical lines still exist.

At this point, with two out of three monitors not performing as advertised within two days of receipt, I’m wondering if I made a bad choice in monitors...
