Razer 14 (2022) Touchpad suddenly stopped working

Hi, 

Since yesterday the touchpad on my laptop suddenly stopped working. I’ve tried the normal fixes, a.k.a. reinstalling the HID-drivers and the I2C-controller since I had a similar issue a while back, this time however nothing seems to help. 

Since I’m out of warranty I also have checked for battery bloat since I had Issues recently with that on a previous 2020 15-inch model. No bloat on the battery and the touchpad clicks just fine, physically atleast. 

Retracing the previous days I did note that the touchpad did seem slightly “delayed” when using it, but it still worked so I didn’t think more of it. Yesterday however, when I started the laptop, the touchpad now was unresponsive. 

During some simple testing today just before writing this I also noted that the physical clicks actually still register, but the touch-function in itself has stopped working. 

My take here is that it’s unfortunately hardware related, anyone has experienced anything similar or is sending it for service/just use it with an external mouse the only solution?

    Let me assist you with your laptop. Can you send me a PM with the serial number so I can verify it in our system and use it when I forward your case to our Technical Team so they can further assist you? Please also send a photo of your receipt/invoice so I can include it as well. You can upload it to any hosting service like Google Drive and provide a shareable link. Just check the file so that anyone with the link can view it.
