Razer 15 Advanced (RZ09-0421) Screen not active


I have bought this laptop well over a year now and yesterday, for some odd reason, the screen went pitch black.

I have connected it to a monitor and the screen of the monitor works fine but not the laptops screen which continues to be pitch black.

Following Razers youtube video guide, I have downladed and installed all the latest drivers and BIOS. With no results.

What else can I do? Im feeling quite hopeless since I was super happy to own this laptop and it never gave me any problems until now.  

PLEASE HELP.

Also experiencing this issue with Razer 15 Advanced (RZ09-0421). Cannot seem to fix it. Did you ever get it to work again? 


Seems like I am not the first guy with screen issue with RZ09-0421 Model. My situation is same as you, HDMI output alright, screen not working. Usually there are two common reasons.

1. eDP connection loosen.

Since reattaching the connection between internal display and the motherboard might require you to remove the motherboard, which potentially gets you into more trouble while trying to fix it on your own. But this situation isn't significant. Maybe contacting your manufacturer to fix the problem 

 

2. Screen malfunction. 

This situation is more troublesome than the previous reason. Because you will need to repair the screen which will cost you a lot. And I am experiencing this issue. I found a technician few days ago. They said this screen model costs about 200 USD. And now I am trying to contact the agent of RAZER in my region and see if I can seek a chance to get my screen replaced.


2022 models usually only has 1 year warranty period, so Good Luck


Ok I got my razer blade 15 back from repair shop, it worked again after the screen replacement.

 


Having the same issue just now. a year and half after purchase. 

External works ok but laptop screen started with lines and is now black. 

I have a feeling its something to do with the heat output of this model. Its central towards the back of the keyboard where the screen connectors are which is probably causing issues. Frustrating as ive barely used the laptop in the time ive had it.

i have a ticket in with Razor so will see what they say. hopefully some positive news


我到新公司任職,配用此款筆電 , 使用了幾天也發生這種狀況….真傷腦筋, 我個人認為是產品不良造成的產品瑕疵, 當然保固一年也是不合理的 ,  我使用很多款筆電至少都可以保用五六年....
