Every since I got my laptop I’ve had issues with it on and off. Last fall I took it in to get a bad fan sound checked out and they replaced the fans and the battery which had swelled. Ever since it will not hold a charge, despite replacing the battery, and now shuts down mid game.
The shutdowns are inconsistent- sometimes I will be playing a game with high graphics and load for several hours with no issues, other times I can’t even load into it in an empty area and stand there without a shut down. Once it shuts down once it will continue to do so every few minutes when trying the game again, usually.
I have tried replacing the battery, cleaning the fans, using a cooling pad, lowering graphics and such to lowest settings, reinstalling battery drivers AND under clocking the device to no success. The crash reports simply say ‘system shut down unexpectedly” and the temperature gauge app does not show anything crazy/very high (though it does not store these in a log to show a sudden spike right with crash).
It’s making games entirely unplayable and the point of the laptop is gaming, I’m not sure what else to try/do at this point.
