I see. What's your NVIDIA graphics version? Please check the steps below:

a. Press Windows+R on your keyboard. Type in DXDIAG into the run command text box and hit OK.
b. Then click on YES.
c. Click on the Display 2 tab and look for the Nvidia version on the right side

If it's on 456.55 already, please uninstall and reinstall the NVIDIA display driver while logged in to safe mode. Please check bpvarsity's workaround on this thread. Let me know if it helps.

Should the issue persists, submit a case to our Support Team by clicking this link or send me a PM.

I sent my laptop for repairs about the issue but i finally got it back and im still getting black screen issues. sending it in was such a waste of times

Hey everyone! Thanks for posting your feedbacks/concerns here. Our devs team is aware of the issue. I suggest submitting a case so our Support Team so they track the affected user and gather details from your devices, which can help the team's investigation.
I am having the same problem. Brand new RBP 17 2020, 4k display, all drivers up-to-date.

In Dedicated GPU mode: Sleep, Hibernate, screen off (powersave), changing the display frequency, or even plugging in an HDMI will all result in a black screen that won't turn back on. A hard reboot is required to get the screen back. If you have an external screen plugged in when you reboot (screen mirroring), the above testing will result in a working display on the external screen while the main screen remains black as described above.

In Optimus mode: All of the above work normally and as expected.

Also noticed:

In Dedicated GPU mode: Netflix will only stream in 1080p quality (cntrl-alt-shift-d)

In Optimus mode: Netflix will stream in 4k quality (cntrl-alt-shift-d)

I will point the support team on my ticket to this thread, as they don't appear to have heard about this issue.

Hi there! Thanks for posting your laptop's concern here. Have you submitted a case to our Support Team? If you haven't, please send me a PM. Let's continue from there.
Did you fix the black screen problem?
I continue with the 452.06 drivers. and I am afraid to update to the most recent ones, since it can return the black screen.Since factory reset is a lot of time and work.
PLEASE.

Hey there! Were you able to submit a case? If you haven't, please send me a PM so I can assist you.
when are they going to fix the problem with nvidia drivers turning black screen?
The game Black ops cold war is coming out, and in order to take advantage of its performance we must update the drivers.
I can't install the app, Nvidia broadcast, because the drivers have to be updated
Its been about 2 months now, with no fix.
I have the exact same issue my model is the RZ09-0314x with the 2080 Max-Q and the 120 hz 4k screen. Same issue happened after updating the bios, and the drivers.
Yeah sorry to hear I am tired of waiting so I am just getting a different company laptop. 2 months and no fix is way to damn long.

Hi I'm not 100% sure if it's fixed but updated the bios file yesterday with a new version I see they recently uploaded: RazerUpdater_v1.1.1.2_DA750-BIOSv0106 and it worked for me, I'm not using the Game ready driver though I'm using the Studio driver: 456.71 After the update I did have the same issue and a windows startup error but then after 2 restarts it now works perfectly. I have the RTX2070 version. I also updated the Intel graphics command center. 1.100.2765.0 I have windows version 10.0.19042 Build 19042 and Razer Synapse v. 3.5.1030.101917

Maybe useful maybe not, good luck!

There's no 1.06 bios version for my late 2019 Blade pro unfortunately
i Sent my laptop for repairs and nothign was fixed and when i got on here to see some fixes and nothing worked.im just wondering why is it taking so long to fix.
the only fix I found is reverting to the old nvidia driver 452.06 from August 2020, but that makes the performance in newer game titles sub-optimal. Or to keep it connected to an external monitor which is not always an option because of the nature of my work, I'm using this laptop for both work and gaming. It is ridiculous that no fix has been made yet for $2600+ laptops particularly when this issue has been going on for a long time and it was confirmed that Razer were able to recreate the issue.

4600 Euros in France.

Mine is the $3800 version add to that extended warranty and it's pretty close, sad for a machine that I love but can't update the graphics driver for now.
hello, support Razer.
I want to play the new call of duty, black ops, cold war, and my lap top asks to update the nvidia drivers, of which they are the big problem that many of your customers have that we buy the Razer blade pro 17 2020.
I would appreciate if you could help us solve our problem.
Tks.
