Razer Acari slowing down immensely over the course of a week

I bought this pad on September 21st, and it arrived a day or two after. Up until yesterday, I was using it with PTFE feet. Yesterday, I swapped to ceramic (lexips), and I noticed a huge difference in speed between the center of the pad and the edges. When I take a flashlight to the pad, the center is noticeably whiter than the rest of the pad, and areas with more usage are lighter in color. When I took a look at the beads themselves, they weren't damaged, but the space in between them was really, really lightly colored. This wasn't how the pad looked on the day it arrived. I've tried wiping the pad off, I've tried rinsing it with water, I've tried using isopropyl alcohol. Nothing has made a difference. I suspect this is a result of the microbeads shredding the PTFE feet, and particles of the feet get jammed in between the beads, causing the pad to have much higher friction. I have a video of me testing the speed that I can post if needed. Help would be greatly appreciated!
