Razer Barracuda X 2021"Plug in charger" Firmware step not working

When i try to install the firmware it goes past dongle and then it says to plug the headset in using the cable provided which i do it begins charging but the firmware updater doesnt register that its plugged in the “Update” button is greyed out. i let the headset charge over night, updated drivers, windows update, uninstalled the drivers reinstalled them, restarted pc, used different USB-C cables, tried it on my ps4, tried it on my ps5 the headset wont connect to anything for some reason even though i can see the headset in “My Devices”.
