Hi,
i noticed that my barracuda x (2022) are turning off after one minute without sound played on them. I’ve changed auto standby in app to 30 min/one hour/never and nothing helped. Also sometimes i have issue with connecting them to PC. Green dot is showing connection, but there is no sound. Have to unplug and plug dongle to usb to make it working. Is there any solution for that (espacially with first problem - it very annoying when i cant stop music just for minute cause headset is turning off without any voice or notification)?

EDIT: Just connected headset to mobile via hyperspeed only (no bluetooth). Headset didnt turn off even without any sound played. That’s pointing for issue in driver/windows configuration/BIOS. Gonna make linux pendrive, try to change something in drivers and will try to answer.

Connection dongle to android helped.
Did you install the 7.1 surround sound to your PC? Maybe that is the issue. I had the same issue as yours, but when I switched my sound from “7.1 Surround Sound” back to the actual “Razer Barracuda X 2.4” the connections worked well. I think the surround sound is the culprit because I think for no reason it resets my headset (when it auto shuts off, it forgets also my bluetooth devices). Maybe some bug on their software? I hope Razer checks this right away.
Happy to see I’m not alone with this problem, just very sad, it’s a Christmas gift and have a lot of bugs…

Did you have any news about a BIOS config or other ?
I’m in contact with the support to find a solution, but for the moment… nothing work. If I have news, I’ll come back quickly
same issue here, perfectly works with dongle but Connection via BlueTOOTH always power off randomly
I noticed the same problem. It started yesterday. Dongle connected to the computer. Randomly turns off. Additionally, I hear background noise. I turned off 7.1 mode
At the same time connected to Android but this is not the cause because disconnection does not fix the problem.
As long as it plays sounds - no problem. However, when I turn off the game -
headphones turn off.
It seems that the problem (at least for me) was the 7.1 virtual surround sound mode
After uninstalling it from my computer I stopped hearing the static and it no longer disconnects.
Can anyone confirm this?
Have you tried updating firmware to 1.7.0? It’s a recent firmware update to Barracuda X (2022) released in May 2024.
Making the Barracuda X my default audio output instead of the 7.1 speaker fixed this!!!!

Uninstalled the 7.1 sorround app and then worked like new.
Es ist schön wenn es einigen Hilft, indem Sie das Headset direkt nutzen und nicht mittels 7.1 Surroundsound App. Jedoch habe ich alles bis auf Kabelverbindung probiert und es bringt alles nichts. Weder via Bluetooth direkt, noch mittels Dongle direkt oder aber auch via Bluetooth mittels 7.1 oder via Dongle mittels 7.1. Egal in welcher Konfiguration es unterbricht ständig und völlig Random die Verbindung und schaltet sich Grundlos aus. Auch das neuste Firmware-Update auf 1.7.0 hat daran absolut nichts geändert. Ist schon etwas nervig..

I tryied updating the firmware but couldn’t manage (and yes, i downloaded the correct version and used the cables provided) and thought about trying to update from Device Manager, which ofcourse i could not.
Though while i was there, i checked to see if the headphones appear at USB section and clickin on Properties on some USBs there i saw at Power Management section that some of them had “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” box checked, so i unchecked for all USBs in that section those boxes and after i did a restart and now it works. Without any software upgrades and also with 7.1 Surround.
Don’t know if that was the problem or/and if that was what it fixed it but now even after 5 min of nothing playing i can resume back instantly.

Thank you very much for the hint. I checked it directly and also changed it. Since then, the headset has also remained stable and no longer turns off randomly. :)
