Razer Barracuda X (2023) not charging while it is OFF

I just bought my Razer Barracuda X (2022) and the issue is that if I charged it while it is turned OFF, the battery doesn’t go up even though it shows that it is charging (red blinking) and then battery full (green blinking). In order for the battery to go up is I need to charge it while it is turned ON.

So I reported this to the retailer and they replaced the headset with a new one (2023) but the problem still the same.

Is this a problem or is this how you charge a Barracuda X headset (while it is turned ON)?

I am having the same issue. I plugged them into a wall outlet with the cord that came with them before I left for work today at 8 am and just got home around 7pm and they were blinking green. As soon as i turned them on I got a “battery low” notification! and they were only at 20%! hope someone knows how to fix this really annoying bug.

This is exactly what’s happening right now even with the replacement I’ve received. BTW, I’ve already sent the old one back to the seller but the replacement is still the same. I think there is a problem with the Barracuda X 2023 model.

I’m already tired asking for a refund from the store so the only solution that I have is:

  1. charged it while it is OFF, remove it once full (blinking green).
  2. Open the unit then reconnect the charger. This will now charge the unit faster. I’ve connected this via Razer Audio on my iPhone to monitor the %.

This is just frustrating since this might cause the battery life of the unit to shorten.

I have the same issue with my razer barracuda, is there any resolution to this issue?

None so far but there is a workaround that I did.

So when the headset fully charges, before you unplug the cable, open it and connect it to Razer Audio application on your phone. I did this twice and it works. But if you unplug it without opening it first, the battery stays uncharged.

Thanks, I'll try this workaround. Hope that razer can help us fix this issue. Its quite frustrating since it should work properly

I have the same issue too. Requested a replacement and received the new headset, only for it to have the same problem. Its incredibly frustrating since ive tried charging it 4 separate times the last 2 days and I turn it on to get 3 “low battery” indications. Im just going to find a different headset at this point.

some problem here! and after the charge when off, if i turn on and re-recharge the % go up very fast (+13% in 1 minutes)
