Razer Barracuda x Wireless Gaming Headset Mute Button Not Working

I bought a Razer Barracuda x Wireless Gaming Headset at Bestbuy yesterday (Dec. 4th 2025). I've noticed that the built in mute button is not work. I put it on mute and I've notice that my icon still beams green which means it picks up sounds. 

 

I tested the headset with my phone while recording a video and it's still has the issue.

 

I patched it to the newest version and nothing changes. 

 

Any fix for this one?

  1. Have you tested the headset on multiple devices to see if the issue is consistent across different platforms?

  2. Are both the headset firmware and your device's audio drivers fully updated to their latest versions?

  3. Does the issue occur across different connection types, such as the HyperSpeed Wireless USB-C Dongle, USB-A to USB-C Adapter, and 3.5mm Analog?

To isolate the problem, please ensure all connections are secure and properly aligned. Additionally, make sure that all drivers related to the headset are updated on your PC, as issues can sometimes arise from outdated or corrupted drivers.
