Razer Basilisk v2 freeze and stuttering

I’ve had my Razer Basilisk for 3 years soon. About 2 weeks ago, I started experiencing very frequent freezes that are followed by stuttering every second for anywhere between 5-30 seconds (the upper limit is a little vague, especially since a new freeze can happen mid stutters). The stuttering is only in certain games, but the freezes happens everywhere.

I have tried updating and disabling drivers, closing down all Synapse related tasks, and tried all kinds of fixes that aren’t mouse related, in case the mouse wasn’t the issue. I even reinstalled windows, but no change.

I’ve tried using other mice to see if they have similar problems. I get another freezing issue on an old Trust mouse, but it is completely different, and that mouse is over 10 years old, so it makes sense.

After switching to my old Razer Naga 2014 Limited Green edition, the issue isn’t there. (but my scroll wheel is busted on this mouse, so I will have to find a solution).

Here’s an example on how it looks ingame (TF2):

If there’s a fix, it would mean the world to me.

Try plugging your gaming companions (mice) into another computer and see if the behavior persists. Ensure that your Razer Basilisk V2’s firmware is updated.

I simply enabled “XHCI Hand-Off” in bios and it fixed the problem for me. It is technically responsible for functionality of USB 3.0 Ports.
