Razer Basilisk x Hyperspeed not working

I turned off my razer basilisk x hyperspeed mouse for a few days. When i tried to turn it back on, it simply won’t. I’ve tried changing the batteries, turning it on and off, reconnecting, even pressing specific buttons for a specific time (solution on firmware updater). But nothing has worked, it’s not an old mouse either, I got it last year. I also tried the firmware updater, but it gets stuck at 0%.

Hi 5Mat56,

I’m here to help! I understand that your Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed isn’t turning on. Allow me to ask a few questions below:

  • When you insert a fresh AA battery, does the status indicator light up at all?
  • Is the mode slider set to 2.4 GHz or Bluetooth, and have you tried both modes?
  • If you're using 2.4 GHz mode, does the USB dongle get detected on another USB port or another PC?
  • Have you checked the battery compartment and metal contacts for dirt, bent contacts, or looseness?

Please try the steps below to isolate the problem:

  1. Make sure the switch underneath the mouse is fully set to the correct position.
  2. Reseat or replace the battery and confirm it’s inserted properly.
  3. if you’re using the USB dongle, unplug it and plug it back in.
  4. Try the mouse on another USB port or another PC if possible.
  5. Make sure the battery is inserted with the correct polarity and that the slider is not sitting between modes.

If there's no light or response in either wireless mode even with a fresh battery, that may point to a hardware issue. You can PM me your mouse serial number, region and proof of purchase for warranty validation. Kindly upload it to Google Drive, and set it to "Public" or “Anyone Who Has The Link”. All the best!
