razer basilisk x hyperspeed scroll wheel not working properly

I have a veritable 6 years old razer basilisk x hyperspeed mouse, which i honestly know it’s old and maybe deserves to retire, but the only issue i got recently is that when i try to scroll, the page goes up and down, and scroll is not working properly anymore. Clicking it also is not working all that well. I click on it and nothing happens, I have to press harder, and that means breaking it in the near future. 

Can it still be fixed? mechanically speaking? or is a real goodbye? 

I liked a lot this version. I know there is V3, but i haven’t seen any good feedback about it, and i don’t want to switch to it.

Given the age of the device, I’m leaning toward this being a hardware-related issue. That said, please try testing it in wired mode both with and without Synapse running in the background to see if you get the same results.

If the issue persists, I highly recommend reaching out to a local repair shop to have the scroll wheel encoder inspected and, if necessary, replaced. Feel free to send me a PM if you need any further assistance. I’ll be happy to help!
