Are you connecting it to a desktop PC with a separate mic and audio port? Does the same behavior happen when the device is plugged into devices with audio/mic combo ports, such as mobile devices and laptops? It can also be a possible issue with the audio/mic splitter extension cable. Also, please perform the following steps from the articles below:
