Hello!
I’ve been using my Blackshark V2 for about a year now, absolutely loved it… so far. Now for about a week now i’ve been experiencing lots and lots of random bugs that go from mildly annoying to really really bad. Here’s a small list just from the top of my head:
- Worst one: Sound randomly goes extremely loud to the point of it actually scaring me. This for example happens when i play various games. Browser tabs in the background even lose sound. Fixed as soon as i tab out.
- If headset disconnects briefly due to losing connection, as soon as it reconnects sound is really dull and quiet until i cycle through all equalizers again.
- Sometimes random programs like teamspeak pick up my microphone but mic sound isn’t working even though it works in other programs at the same time.
- Randomly very very dull sound.
- Loud crackling when i’m a little further away on my mic, annoying everyone i’m talking to.
- Mic peaks as soon as my voice a little louder, only fixed by aggressive “voice normalization” setting that messes up mic quality slightly.
- Sound crackling on headset. Only reinserting dongle fixes it.
These are just the ones i currently remember, there is plenty more. I highly doubt this is a hardware error and most likely a synapse / driver error. All these problems DID NOT used to be a thing, i havn’t had a single problem before all this.
What i’ve tried:
- Updating, resetting, reapplying drivers. It is currently on the newest available driver (2.6.11 Headset/2.4.1 Dongle)
- Different Synapse version.
- Uninstalling drivers from Windows.
- All kinds of setting in Synapse.
- Disabling “Audio enhancements” in windows sound setting of the headset.
I really love this headset, also paid a good amount for it, so i definitely want to keep using it, but i’m kinda lost what to do now. Using this headset really makes gaming, or simply using the PC, not a good experience currently.
Any ideas what i can do?
