Hello,
(Windows 10)
After I shut down my PC and booted it back up on the 9th of September, my Synapse app and subsequently my Headphones (Blackshark V2 HyperSpeed) started acting strangely. At first, the app (Synapse) refused to update (constant “installation failed” even after a system restart), so I reinstalled it.
After I reinstalled Synapse my EQ profiles weren’t working properly. When I purchased these headphones a few months ago, EQ wasn’t working until I disabled Headphone enhancements in sound settings, but now EQ doesn’t work unless I have it enabled (so the complete inverse).
Currently and since my Synapse app also does not recognize both the Headset and my Basilisk V3 on startup, though it starts recognizing them when I manually restart the app.
The sound is definitely ever so slightly off since this debacle (certain sounds are way too quiet) and the Windows sound enhancements conflict with certain apps making them slow (for example the PC Spotify app being way too loud on startup and then taking 3-4 seconds to have sound adjusted every time I touch the volume slider).
Also the hardware is now both wired and through dongle recognized as “Speakers (USB)” in Windows when I know it was recognized as “Headphones” before.
There is hardly anything I haven’t done in the past 3 days (Reinstalling multiple times and in different ways, purging registry files so they could be reinstalled altogether, trying to factory reset which apparently does nothing other than create a new profile in synapse, etc.) and I really need help because I’ve been having so much trouble with all sorts of headphones in the past year and this takes the cake.
