Razer Blackshark V2 Hyperspeed - Dongle not working

Hello, I have a brand new Blackshark V2 Hyperspeed. Wired and Bluetooth work but the Hyperspeed Dongle that was included does not seem to power on.

I have it plugged directly into the computer (no hub). When I connect the dongle, there is a faint green light for one second and then nothing. My computer does recognize it but the Synapse software does not. I’ve tried different ports, different computers, and there’s no change.

Edit: It works now but I’m not sure what exactly did it.

Did this topic help you find an answer to your question?

I have this same problem, I disconnect it and when I try to connect it, it only reflects a dim green light, a continuous red light or it does not turn on at all. The headset still has the green light flashing as if it is trying to pair with the dongle, but it doesn't. It is also impossible for me to update the firmware or pairing because it does not recognize that the dongle is connected. This is something that happened to me overnight, it just didn't want to connect anymore. The headset itself works and so does the Bluetooth but it is not possible to connect it to the dongle. Did you uninstall any type of software or do something specific that you remember? It would help me a lot. Please and thank you

Try uninstalling the Razer Synapse you currently have, and go to this link to download  The New Razer Synapse – Razer Gaming Software Update | Razer United States "The New Synapse", keep the headset connected to the cable while the software is installed. When the installation is finished, the software will detect your device and ask you to restart to complete the installation and when you restart your PC, reconnect the cable to the dongle and it should work as usual. Is it like a bug? I'm not sure, but normally when I turn off the PC the dongle stops working, and I have to uninstall and reinstall the new synapse and do the same steps. I am no longer using the razer synapse 3. The error may be part of an update

I have been using the black shark v2 with the dongle for about two months, but today is just turned off. When I plug it back in it says the USB malfunctioned. I tried to update the firmware and my intel drivers, but it just doesn’t work.

Did you get a replacement?

Can anyone confirm the new dongle was the fix? I just tried to do firmware updates and the dongle doesn’t stay connected long enough

Having the same issue.  Followed instructions to update firmware and still nothing. Can a new dongle be ordered?

COntacted Razer and ran through diagnosis. Nothing worked so they swiftly sent a replacement and it works great now.
