razer blackshark v2 hyperspeed mute button problem

Hello, I use Razer Blackshark V2 Hyperspeed headphones and today something happened that hasn't happened before: after pressing the mute button, my volume automatically drops to 0. I checked Razer's forum to find out, and it turns out someone else had the same problem. They found the solution in disabling Synapse, and it actually works. It seems you've made a faulty driver update; please fix it. And if you ask me for my headphones' serial number, please show me where to find it. Have a good day and fix this quickly.

I’ve responded to your PM. Please performing a clean reinstallation of Razer Synapse (https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1708) and then uninstalling and reinstalling the headset driver to see if that resolves the issue more permanently. Please follow the steps below to uninstall headset drivers.


1. Press Windows key + S on the keyboard to open the Search bar.
2. Type in “Device Manager” and hit enter.
3. Go to “Audio inputs and outputs”.
4. Right-click on the Razer headset and select “Uninstall device”.
5. Restart the computer to completely uninstall the drivers. The drivers are automatically installed on the computer after a restart.
