Hello,
I’m having serious audio issues with my Razer BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed (RZ04-0496).
The headset was working normally a couple of days ago, but the problem suddenly appeared without any hardware changes on my side.
Here are the symptoms:
-
The volume sometimes jumps or changes unpredictably.
-
When adjusting the volume with the headset’s volume wheel, the sound can change in character and the low frequencies/bass become noticeably quieter.
-
There is noticeable audio delay, especially during voice calls in Discord and Xbox app.
-
The issue is not limited to one application.
-
Razer Synapse EQ does not seem to affect the sound at all.
-
When THX Spatial Audio / audio enhancements are enabled, the volume issue becomes significantly worse.
-
When THX Spatial Audio / audio enhancements are disabled, the volume jumping stops, but the EQ still does not work.
-
I have already reinstalled the audio device/driver through Windows Device Manager.
-
I have updated the USB HyperSpeed dongle firmware from version 1.6.11 to 1.7.0.
-
I have also restarted the PC and tested the headset with Synapse closed.
-
The issue occurs with the HyperSpeed wireless connection and is not limited to Discord.
This makes the headset effectively unusable with some of its advertised audio features. I purchased this headset expecting THX Spatial Audio and the EQ to work correctly, but enabling THX causes serious audio problems, while disabling it makes the EQ unusable.
Could you please advise on a proper solution or provide a firmware/software fix? I would specifically like to know whether this is a known issue with the BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed and Synapse 4, and whether there is a firmware version or troubleshooting procedure that addresses it.
I would appreciate a solution other than simply reinstalling Synapse or Windows audio drivers, as I have already tried those steps.
Thank you.
