I double check hardware and software mute off. Make sure it's set to default should happen when plugged in but I double check it setup to default.   I consider checking firmware and windows update for new driver. 

Do other headset work fine have you tested it on other hardware.

Any information in windows logs seem very strange it does not transfer audio after it was working if firmware updated .  beside battery or usb voltage being off.  all I can think of is the sfc and dism commands you can run. Check search or windows help to see how to use them.  reboot try again.    that or uninstall drivers reboot install again if only one driver installed.  you see the device in windows device driver.
