Razer Blackshark V2 Pro - Incredibly bad audio Quality

I just bought a pair of Razer Blackshark Pro V2 (2023) and the sound is AWFUL! I don’t know what’s wrong, but it seems like nothing is working. I’m only using the headphones for playing PubG, but the sound is so bad I might as well use 10 $ headphones instead. It sounds like I’m in a jar, with shots far away sounding like they’re 4 feet away, and shots near sounds far away. No spatial effects at all. Impossible to use. What is wrong?

I eventually bought new headphones. MUCH better! (Steelseries Arctic Nova Pro)

 completely agreed, these are terrible. On a side note, my product’s left side has more sound than the right one and the only way to adjust the balance is to use a 3rd party program called peace. But the sound quality is still awful. I should have stayed with Steelseries instead of this.

I completely agree with you. The headphones sound as if they put you in a jar and the sounds are coming from outside. But since I got these as a gift and have no other replacement, the thing that helped me the most was uninstalling razer cortex and all related software. The headphones now sound much better.

I have this problem if the microphone is turned on (I don’t even have to be in a call, it’s enough, that discord is running in the background).
Don’t know how to fix this. I am currently considering returning the headset

they sound better for voices but for music they suck comparing the sound like a Barracuda X. I have also the Kraken Hypersense and with this EQ for music +2 +2 +1 +1 +2 +3 +3 +3 +4 +6 I was trying to get the BlackShark V2 Pro to sound similar but it was imposible to get them to that Kraken place. The kraken have something that makes them sound super clear and smooth
