Razer Blackshark V2 x mic not working

Hi! I recently bought my first razer headset which I've been super excited to get for a while now but came across a major issue. I'm using the splitter extension cable and I've plugged both the audio and mic jacks in. The problem is, the audio works perfectly fine but my mic seems to not be working at all. I've tried checking the sounds (playback & recording), checking windows privacy, making sure the mic isn't muted and reinstalling the drivers but nothing has changed at all :( When testing the mic with friends, it sometimes makes a weird single toned ring but that's all it picks up. I've plugged this headset into my laptop without the splitter extension and it works perfectly fine and I've tried without the splitter on my pc but both the audio and mic just completely stopped working. I'm extremely lost :( I've really been struggling with this the entire day and I just really wish to game with my new headset :( If anyone is able to give me some suggestions that would be great! Did you ever get a chance to test it out on a different PC or a smartphone to check if it yields the same issue? For now, let us further isolate the problem by following the steps here.
