Dear Razer Support Team,

I am reaching out for technical assistance with my Razer BlackShark V3 Pro headset. The headset is experiencing a critical connectivity issue: it fails to connect or pair wirelessly via either the 2.4GHz HyperSpeed USB dongle or Bluetooth. The only way the headset currently functions or outputs audio is when it is physically connected to my PC via a wired USB cable.

This headset has worked perfectly fine for about 2 years now. The issue started suddenly when the battery was dying, so I plugged the headset in via the USB wire to continue playing. While I have done this frequently in the past without any issues, this time the wireless connection completely broke after unplugging the wire and has not functioned since.

When attempting to use it wirelessly, the headset will not pair with the dongle or register on Bluetooth devices, effectively rendering its wireless capabilities entirely non-functional.

To resolve this, I have already thoroughly exhausted the following troubleshooting steps with no success:

  • Switched Wireless Modes: I used the SmartSwitch/EQ button to cycle out of Bluetooth and back to 2.4GHz mode, and vice versa.
  • Tested Multiple USB Ports: The USB wireless dongle has been tested across multiple USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports directly on my PC motherboard. I have bypassed all external USB hubs and docks.
  • Addressed Signal Interference: I utilized the provided USB extension cable to position the dongle away from potential 2.4GHz or USB 3.0 electronic interference.
  • Attempted Driver Reinstallation: I uninstalled the audio drivers and ghost "USB Composite Devices" related to Razer hardware from Windows Device Manager, performed a PC reboot, and let Windows cleanly reinstall them.
  • Forced Hardware Power Cycle: I completed a full system power cycle, closing Razer Synapse and holding down the headset power button for over 15 seconds to clear out hung internal communication profiles.
  • Utilized Official Utilities: I attempted to run both the official Razer USB HyperSpeed Dongle Pairing Utility and the standalone Firmware Updater.

Because the headset functions perfectly fine over a wired connection, the physical audio drivers and internal battery appear to be intact. It seems that plugging it in while the battery was dying caused a critical firmware conflict or permanently disrupted the handshake between the headset and the transmitter.

Please let me know what the next steps are to fix this issue, or how we can proceed with a repair or replacement if it is determined to be a hardware defect.

Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your guidance.

Best regards,
