This issue might be attributed to my keyboard’s old age, but I don’t know what to do.

 

My Razer Blackwidow V3 Mini Hyperspeed on all keys either:

 

  1. Spam types characters when typing normally
  2. Keys don’t type when clicked

 

I’ve been trying to troubleshoot this for a while now, using methods such as:

 

  1. Alcohol Wipes
  2. Putting 90% Isopropyl Alcohol in switches
  3. Updating Firmware/Software
  4. Uninstalling Synapse
  5. Changing USB Port

 

None of these have changed anything. My keyboard still spam types at the lightest touch or outright doesn’t type.

 

I will repeat typing a phrase below 5 times without backspacing spammed letters.​​​​​​

Does the issue occur while you're using it via HyperSpeed Wireless 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth, or wired? Is it possible to test the keyboard with another computer that does not have Synapse installed? Ensure your keyboard is directly connected to a USB port on your computer. USB hubs are known to cause these issues. Also, try to perform the additional steps below to fix the problem.

  1. Perform keyboard reset:
  • Unplug the keyboard.
  • Press and hold "Escape", "Caps Lock", and the space bar.
  • Plug the keyboard into a USB port.
  • Release all keys.
  1. Perform clean re-installation of Razer Synapse.
  2. Make sure to update your keyboard firmware by following the steps here.
