- the product page (https://www.razer.com/gaming-keyboards/razer-blackwidow-v3/RZ03-03540200-R3U1) doesn't mention needing windows or any kind of software.
- The user guide states "PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS: A PC with a free USB type A port".
- On the product support page (https://mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3827), there is a mention of needing software to record macro keys (which is wrong, macro can work without software), clearly leaving people to believe that for other things there is no software needed.
RAZER BLACKWIDOW V3 on Linux
Hello.
I am stuck on Linux with a BW v3 that is rotating colors like in a Christmas tree. Apart from that, the keyboard works well and I'm very happy. Of course, I connected it to a Windows machine to setup a static color, but alas, just unplugging it resets it to the rotating color mode.
So I thought that I should have read the fine prints before buying the product. But no, there are no fine prints!
