Similarly, my Razer BlackWidow V3 Mini HyperSpeed, which I have been using without issues for the past two years, started double typing a few keys a few weeks ago. I installed the latest firmware, but the problem persists.

It’s not a software problem - problem is the switch itself.

Try to spray some air inside faulty switch, then you can pour few drops of 100% Isopropyl alcohol - press key few times, let it evaporate. If this won’t help only switch replacement will be a solution here.

I had this issue and now it is fixed. I removed the key cap of the faulty key and press the switch on each corner to make it stay frimly on the circuit. The switch is a little loose, and there is a subtle click sound when I press it. I used to have x and 8 keys with this problem and now it is fixed. Now I can do this: 8x8x8x8x8x8x8x8x8x.

I have the same problem!  and I see that this is a global problem. My audience is razer.com. Don't you want to take care of your reputation and be accountable to the people who paid and bought this crap??

I’ve gone through FOUR keyboards, all have ended up with this key spamming problem despite having fully updated firmware. i had been a long time razor user but after this last one this is it for me I’m going to try the corsair k100 instead of the blackwidow V4 pro. Tired of buying a new keyboard every 6 months, this is ridiculous. Wouldn’t be so bad if we could easily swap out new switches but apparently as I discovered on one of mine (by breaking a switch trying to remove it) these are soldered on.

GG razor you’ve converted me to use a competitor.

I have the same problem with my Blackwidow V3 mini.. Doesn’t matter if it’s hyperspeed or bluetoooth or cable connection.. Updated the firmware - it did not help.. Reseting the keyboarrd ddid not help.. And it’s doubling on just any random button, so it’s not the "switch” issue.. (

No sollution for now?

This seemed to work for me, I fixed my issue by dropping a few drops of isopropyl alcohol on switches of the offending keys and then moving the switch about and spamming it repeatedly for a good 15-30 seconds. Afterwards the key usually stops repeating it's inputs, some keys need a second round of this but I generally got my entire keyboard to work.

I’ve been having this issue on y Blackwidow Lite for about a year and it’s driving me insane. I’ve tried updating firmware and resetting back to defaults with no luck. Seems to do it via all connection types and on any PC it’s hooked to which tells me it’s a switch issue for sure. I’ll try to blow out the keys and use some alcohol as people have said but I’m skeptical. To be fair, I’ve had my keyboard for about 6 years now, but I expected it to last much longer.

Has anybody noticed a difference when using the dampening rings? I don’t use them but might give it a try if the alcohol fix does not work.

Found a simple fix for my BlackWidow V3 (wired) that was constantly double-inputting keys.
Turns out unplugging the second USB cable (the passthrough USB on the keyboard itself) completely fixed the issue for me.

Posting in case it helps someone else

Personally I had the same problem (Blackwidow V3 mini hyperspeed), until I got pissed off and slammed the keyboard with both of my hands, and now it doesn’t overtype anymore.
