Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro 75%: 4000Hz Polling Rate Automatically Reverts to 1000Hz When Synapse Is Running

Hello Razer Support,

I am experiencing an issue with my Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro 75% regarding the 4000Hz wireless polling rate.

Device information:

  • Keyboard: Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro 75%
  • Connection: 2.4GHz wireless
  • Keyboard firmware: 1.03.00.00
  • Razer Synapse version: 4.0. [removed by moderator]

Issue:

When Razer Synapse is completely closed, I can set the keyboard to 4000Hz using the keyboard's OLED display, and the setting remains at 4000Hz.

However, as soon as I launch Razer Synapse, the polling rate automatically reverts to 1000Hz.

If I try to select 4000Hz directly in Synapse, it briefly allows me to select it but immediately switches back to 1000Hz.

I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Reinstalled Razer Synapse
  • Updated the keyboard firmware
  • Updated/checked the wireless dongle firmware
  • Tested with the keyboard connected only through 2.4GHz wireless, with no USB cable connected
  • Disconnected my mouse and its separate 2.4GHz receiver
  • Set 4000Hz directly through the keyboard OLED while Synapse was closed
  • Restarted Synapse and confirmed that the setting immediately reverted to 1000Hz

The problem is consistently reproducible: 4000Hz works and remains selected while Synapse is closed, but launching Synapse causes it to revert to 1000Hz.

Could you please confirm whether this is a known issue with the current version of Razer Synapse and the BlackWidow V4 Pro 75%?

I would also appreciate instructions on how to resolve the issue or confirmation on whether this requires a software fix, device replacement, or further diagnostics.

Thank you.
