So the day before yesterday (9/11/25) the wheel was perfectly normal, it was intact changing the volume with it spinning up and down. But then as of yesterday (9/12/25) the keyboard made a popping noise which turned out to be the wheel, I inspected it and it was just loose. Turning it upside down made the wheel itself become displaced and then just fall out.

Been trying to find anyone with similar issues but so far no one has had this problem and I don’t know how to fix it.

easiest is just bind something with hypershift or sumfin
thats how it is on ma cynosa
(clever marketing turning it into physical features and such when it can be done with firmware and programmatically...same with dedicated macro keas cuz synapse4)

screenshot from synapse in hypershft

if want knob and dont mind the effort
(not under warranty is my jam...)
i looked up stuf traing see what i could find.

up to at least step 5 or 6 useful
https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Razer+BlackWidow+Elite+Volume+Knob+Replacement/167664
*/ maabe even 8 can find a replacement for the image board if look up
Media Board V1.6 27-050-0485-106S 2018/09/11
gets Razer JANET-T1 Media Board V1.6 27-050-0485-106S
so if it is a seperate PCB need that level of specifict to attempt to find one/*

(do on towel. great catching dropped little screws…. also the piece that made the popping sound lol)
..consider clean the thing while got it open
(if getting into ‘deep clean’ for fluids rubbing alchohal [windex something that non sticky and self/quick drying])

unclear how it interacts  or is mounted with the PCB or if it would normally need to be removed in the proccess.

if take this route take pics.
(if feeling altruistic would be useful to post on Imgur or something in general ) and in case

  •  solution on how to reattach  not obvious
  • beyond  super glue suggestuna
  • and stubborn/determined like me

(super glue and a needle to appla  i imagine is about what can be done at that level ut depends on how the knob is supposed to sit and how it intereacts etc)
*super glue have fan or light(heat source) ...(one benefit when i was smoker is this lol)

tinkering and this finicky stuff i enjoy lol... but i often fail to stop and ask is it worth the time ‘sunk cost fallacy’ and/or hyperfocus etc
alwaas worth the couple min to pull the cover at lesat check general attitude 😂
