My Razer Blade 14'' (2016) - Intel 6700HQ - GTX1060 discharging while I'm gaming
Page 1 / 1
Hi there! When did the issue start to happen? Does it only happen when playing games?
It only happens when playing games.
I think it started to happen when I updated my BIOS to the latest version
BIOS Version/Date Razer 2.03, 5/16/2019
But I'm not 100% sure. I've read around that this could also be caused by a defective charger; I'm not seeing any problems outside of gaming though.

Thanks for the reply. Please PM me the serial number as well as a copy of the battery report. I'll assist you from there.
Guys,
I just found the reason.
The issue manifests when I've got my laptop plugged in to my 144hz monitor. If I activate Whisper Mode in my nvidia card and keep/lock the FPS below 60s no discharge happens. I tested it using Heaven Benchmark.
<SUBJECTIVE>I can also add additional detail (and this is subjective, I have not tested it, this is only perception): This did not happen before that last BIOS update. When I installed the latest BIOS update I noticed that performance in the laptop had improved noticeably while gaming at higher FPS (I was happy!). I think the last update unlocked something in the discrete card / optimus setup and it is draining more power now under certain conditions to fuel that performance.</SUBJECTIVE>
Do you still need the battery report?
