Razer Blade 14 (2021) - Performing worse on 100w charger than on battery (exact same settings) | Razer Insider

As the title says, when I plug my device in using a 100w USB-PD setup, my game performs worse than if I just pull the power off and run it on battery, during the same game session having therefore the same settings. I knew that by gaming using the 100w charger that I would see a good dip in performance and accepted that. However when testing in my games (using Genshin Impact and FF14 Online), I get some stuttering as a result of the GPU is being under 99% load, but when pull the cable I have it on battery it falls to around 34%. Mind you this is with the exact same settings, still while in the game. I have a picture of the GPU loads here from that here: https://imgur.com/a/K1kqkIB

Now on battery, the system seems to cap at 30fps, but on Genshin Impact on was only getting 31fps while using the charger, and then 30fps on the battery - yet there was a substantial difference in GPU utilization between the two. I've played around with a lot of the Windows power settings, but nothing seems to be making a difference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated on what is causing the GPU bottleneck and if there is a way to allocate more of the 100w power to the GPU, or something else entirely.

UPDATE: The problem was NVIDIA's in-game overlay. Once I disabled that, the GPU bottleneck issue went away.
