Have the same issue: posted this some days ago out of frustration:Unfortunately, I seem to have the same problem with my Razer Blade as many others -> the motherboard is defective and I would have to pay EUR 1500 for the repair. I am incredibly disappointed with Razer and will certainly not buy a Razer product again in my life and will not recommend anyone to buy a product from this manufacturer. This motherboard defect is obviously a design or material defect. It's an impudence and a rip-off that I as a customer should now pay for it. It almost seems to be Razer's business model to collect twice. Having to pay the high price to purchase the device and then pay again shortly after the warranty expires for a massively overpriced repair. I feel like I'm being held hostage. I'm now at the mercy of Razer.
Same thing happens to my 2022 6900hx razer14. Razer is a piece of shit nowadays.
Today happens the same thing to me after a ayer and a half with my laptop. Do not recommend this brand to someone.
Same thing happened to my 14" razer I bought in April 2022. Died abruptly march 2024. I waited so long to pull the trigger on this company and wanted this to be my long term investment laptop. I basically rented this computer for a grand a year.
Also for the record the same thing happened to my Razer Blade 14 (P8 NT/14 165Hz QHD Matte, 2560 x 1440/ AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX /RTX 3070 Ti 8GB VRAM/16GB DDR5 RAM/1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD/ Vapor Chamber Cooling/Per Key RGB Chroma Keyboard/ 1.78kg/ Win11 Home) | B09TTDRD39 - I bought it on 13th July 2022 and then on 1st June 2024 (just shy of 2 years), it went to sleep and wouldn’t turn on again. Maybe because I live in Australia (and might have slightly better consumer laws), but thankfully Razer did get it fixed (dead motherboard) and it’s working again at time of post (though I’m a bit worried that this might just repeat another year down the track…)
Same thing happened here! Should have read the forums before getting myself one. Just 2 months pass the one year warranty and my motherboard died. Cost almost as much as getting myself a new one to repair. My old ROG Laptop last me 4 years and is still working now, while my new Razer “PREMIUM” Laptop died slightly after one year.
Liked the look of Razer laptop but now I am really hesitant to get another Razer blade, or should I just get a ROG zephyrus since is almost the same price range.
I'd probably go with ROG. I ended up with a new Lenovo legion. I didn't think to check forums but read reviews and watched vids. Seems the problem started with the 2022 laptops. Could be wrong but never heard of em having issues before.
Yeah, I agree. Probably going to see if Razer got any trade in programs, might give them another chance if they do and see how the second one work. If not, probably not gonna touch Razer laptop again. Such a disappointment. Though of giving Razer laptop a shot because I have been a fan of other Razer product, really shock me to see such a short life span on a product that market themselves as “Quality” and “Premium Product”. SAD.
Let us know if there is a trade in. As of now ill never get one again especially since a new motherboard is 900$~ not to mention repair services seem to be slow as well.
Nope no Trade In Program. I guess I am now stuck with a “prefect condition” laptop with a dead mother board.
there is not even a scar on that machine and it is dead. OH WELL ~
It was worth a try. I didn't have much hope either. Unless they really change things I'll never get a computer from them again. When I called repair shops in my area when it initially broke and explained what happened all of them said not to bother coming in bc it is a fried motherboard and it's a common problem with razer.
Same story here. Bought my Blade 14 - my first razer laptop, along with razer peripherals. Saved up hard earned money and decided to buy the blade as an investment. But after a year and 10 months, my investment is dead. While playing pubg, my laptop died and smoke came out of it along with a burnt smell. I immediately knew it was a motherboard issue. I tried turning it on but nothing happened - it remained dead. I asked the store where I bought it from, they said that getting a motherboard replacement would cost almost the same as getting a new laptop. And that's also what I found out here.
I really feel so bad about this experience with razer and their premium product. Not getting what you paid a premium price for really hurts. What's more disappointing and frustrating is that razer is aware of this motherboard issue and does nothing about it and does nothing for it's customers.
Similar thing just happened to me last week. Bought and used a blade 14 for 16 months and motherboard is burnt with smell, while the device is idle during midnight. Interesting to know that average lifespan of guys’ laptops are also so low.
Learned a lesson to not ever buy a product from Razer so ‘recklessly’ just for its appearance.
Same problem him what a garbage of a laptop cant belive i spent fortune for that
My Blade 14 2022 was just diagnosed as having a bad motherboard, and the repair fee is ~$1200, not including the diagnostic fee.
I’ve had great luck with Razer in the past, and I’m exceedingly disappointed with having a very expensive laptop die after less than two years (bought in Nov 2022 and it started flaking out last month).
The laptop started randomly powering off, which is why I sent it in for repair. No trade in option, so it looks like I’m SOL.
My next gaming laptop will definitely not be a Razer.
Sadly i went through the exact same thing, and im even worried about ordering a new motherboard since it seems like its a common issue with the motherboard.
Tried getting something out of Razer, but they say its not a common issue, but it very much seems like it!
I had the same with my razer blade 14 model 2022, bought in April 2022.
It died 3 days ago, it won't turn on, it just shows a white led flashing fast and then nothing.
I bought it in the Netherlands and I am out of warranty.
Write me to greenalew@gmail.com to organize an official complaint to the customer protection authority.
I sent mine in for repairs after 6 months and they said it was fine. 6 more months later (out of warranty) and it breaks again. I’m told it’s a bad motherboard and need to pay $1500 for a replacement.
I also have a 2022 blade 14 that died a few weeks ago. Sent in to repair, dead motherboard, price to repair over 2000 euro. This thread is getting very long with people with this same issue, not sure it can be ignored by Razer too much longer?

I’ve been back and forth with them all week and they truly do not care at all.
there needs to be a recall or someone to file a class action against them.
The customer service is so bad really, they once recommend to me to buy a new laptop
Their customer service is so bad I actually am convinced that it’s just bots replying. It was just copy and paste with no actual useful information in there whatsoever.
lot of people with this same issue, please share and repost if you have it too!
The customer service recommended me to buy a new laptop. This is outrageous. Spread this info please
I’ve got myself in pickle with Razer blade 2022 that I had bought on credit via overclockers here in UK.
Start of August of last year, it abruptly turned off and wouldn’t turn back on after pressing the power button. So I tried getting the laptop fixed through the warranty and came to find out that it had expired.
Couple weeks later when I finally had time to take it to a profesional to check it out he then informed me of a motherboard issue and that it had broke because the VRMs short circuited. Apparently it’s a common issue with Razer laptops having these cheap parts carrying such massive voltage that it is bound to fail at some point. So now a year and a bit later i am left with a dead machine and money still coming out of my bank.
So how is it that Razer sells these overly expensive “quality” machines and it doesn’t even manage to last me till the end of my 2 year credit plan. Honestly just feel like I’ve been robbed of my money.
I have the same problem 4 months ago and the technician informed me that the motherboard had severe damage, specifically due to issues with the VRMs. To make matters worse, I recently found a thread in the Razer forums where another user described having the exact same issue. This suggests a potential recurring problem, which is highly concerning for a premium product of this caliber.
my razer just died few weeks ago, i will not buy from this shit again
The razer client attention sucks, my laptop is dead and i dont find a way to repair it, where is the support of the brande in this cases, i dont see the quality of the products anywhere.
