Razer Blade 14 keyboard going to sleep | Razer Insider

I have an issue with my Razer Blade 14 laptop keyboard.

After a few seconds of not typing, the keyboard goes to sleep mode. When I want to resume typing, it needs to “wake up” so my first keystrokes are not registered or I have to wait three-four seconds after my first keystroke to start typing.

I tried restarting the laptop and changing the energysaving settings.

Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

I’ve just had this start happening too. I wonder if a Windows update has changed sleep behaviour and its affecting the way the onboard keyboard goes to sleep?

I have checked keyboards settings within device manager even but can’t find any option that controls the keyboard going to sleep.

Its a pretty big issue, as the sleep timer is so short - like 5-10 seconds no typing means you’ll then lose 2 seconds of typing as it wakes up. Hopefully a patch for this soon if it is a windows thing?

@polyWildOrchidroad164  did you ever find a solution to this?

i’ve contacted support and after trying to remove and resinstall the driver - it still doesn’t fix it. Now they want me to restore back to factory settings effectively, which right now is a huge inconvenience for me

I am equally having the same issue, and doing  factory re-install is not an option for me. Would be good if Razer could actually provide something other than the basic and in all honesty a bit of a cop out of a response of just reset the whole device.

@HonestDan No, I haven’t found a solution yet, but factory resetting my device is really not an option for me…

Last year I encountered this same issue, but it resolved on its own after a couple of days. This time, it does not seem to go away...

I got mine fixed. I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, it didn’t seem to fix it, but after a full restart it then started working

Update:

This last week, I also tried uninstalling and installing the driver and doing a full restart, but this didn’t work.

Today after turning my laptop back on, I had to login to Synapse. Now, everything is back to normal with my keyboard.
